La Jolla's cliffside Mushroom House, located between Torrey Pines and Scripps Pier, is one of our coast's coolest curiosities. Visible only from the beach or the ocean, the Mushroom House is well worth a beach walk during lower tides. Although it is no longer in use, the structure remains camouflaged by the sandstone cliffs towering all around it. It's a must-visit!
